Whether you seek the perfect rural weekend escape, simply need a comfortable bed for the night, have an interest in local golfing, need an intimate venue for a special event or even need assistance in creating a personalized itinerary for a holiday including safari and sightseeing, we aim to accommodate you. All rates are per person sharing per night. Aged 4-11 years ½ full rate. Babies/toddlers under 3 years stay free. Our rates are seasonal. Contact us directly for quotes and you may find we can offer you a special rate.

~ Exclusive Retreat ~

Yours to enjoy alone, you may book into Halkett Country House on an exclusively-booked, full-board basis allowing you the opportunity to completely relax and be yourselves. No other visitors, just you and the farm! Rates are per person, whether you are 2 or 12 people booked. Reduced rates apply seasonally for groups and for children sharing bedrooms with parents. Children of all ages are embraced in this safe haven, a serene wonderland for family and friends to gather for extended weekend breaks. Step back in time and let us spoil you rotten! top

~ Bed & Breakfast ~

An idyllic rest break for the business traveller and for the independent explorer alike, here is a rest stop not to be missed. Escape the bright city lights and allow the sounds of the bush to lull you to sleep. You will leave rested and refreshed, ready for the next step in your journey.
Subdue your appetite with a hot English breakfast, yoghurt and cereals. Early or late arrival/departure by arrangement. top

~ Golf Breaks ~

Located mid-way between Legend Golf & Safari Resort (Entabeni) and Euphoria Golf Estate, golfers may book their tee-offs directly through us. Providing accommodation and meals, couples and private groups may co-ordinate their movements for golfing weekends through us. Evening meals or lunches may be provided by pre-arrangement. ~ Pet-friendly Accommodation ~

Pets are permitted by prior arrangement. No damages deposit required. All breeds of dog are welcome. Dogs are expected to be well-socialised and able to be controlled within reason in the presence of other guests. Visitors with are requested to consider the full-board/exclusive-use board basis if they are uncertain of their pet’s suitability in the presence of other dogs/animals. Do note that resident dogs and other livestock, including horses and chickens, may be encountered during any stay at Halkett Country House. top

~ Venue for Private Parties ~

Halkett Country House is available for day-time luncheons and private parties by prior arrangement of at least 48 hours. Minimum of 6 adults for private parties. We can cater for a maximum of 24 persons. Up to 8 adults may be accommodated in Halkett Country House - rustic overnight accommodation may be sourced for up to 16 visitors on-site within 1km of Halkett Country House; further overnight accommodation may be sourced on neighbouring farms. Quotes are bespoke and special events such as weddings may require up to 72 hours for final quotes due to supplier requirements and equipment hire. Please note: all special events must be planned in advance! top

Tailor-made, off the beaten track journeys from Limpopo Province to Kruger Park and beyond! Specialized, fully-guided, cultural, scenic and wilderness tours for an exclusive African experience. Arrange your uniquely personalized itinerary to make the most of your visit. International visitors may be collected from O.R. Tambo airport in Johannesburg for pick-up in a hired transfer vehicle to enjoy nights at Halkett Country House as well as a scenic, educated expedition through Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces. Minimum 2 person charge and maximum of 8 persons per tour. Children welcome. Contact us by email with your hopes and requirements detailing your requirements via info@halkett.co.za.

~ Reservation Terms & Conditions ~

Check in: 3pm / Check out: 10am

Full Terms & Conditions apply on booking. All bookings require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure dates. Reservation confirmed via booking forms and receipt of deposit. Full payment must be received no less than 5 days prior to arrival. Credit cards are not accepted.
No cash machine on site.

Cancellation Policy: Only written cancellations, signed by the person who made the initial booking, will be accepted. Non refundable deposit of 50% is forfeited if you cancel your initial reservation. Fees are set out as percentages of the booking value for cancellation/postponement as follows: 70% within 2 weeks of arrival; 100% within 1 week of arrival, for no show or departure prior to the departure date. top
